Who Should Not Take VESIcare?

You should not take VESIcare if you:
 
  • Are allergic to VESIcare, solifenacin succinate, or any inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.
     
  • Have uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma (an eye condition).
     
  • Have difficulty passing urine (known medically as urinary retention). This is often caused by conditions such as an enlarged prostate.
     
  • Have a condition that delays the emptying of food from your stomach.
     

VESIcare Warnings and Precautions: Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which VESIcare should not be taken, along with several precautions and warnings people should be aware of before starting the medication.
