Toviaz Drug Interactions

If certain medications are taken together with Toviaz, it is possible for drug interactions to occur. Some of these medications include protease inhibitors, acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, and certain antifungals or antibiotics. Some drug interactions with Toviaz may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine, while others can increase your risk of developing side effects (such as dry mouth, constipation, dry eyes, or difficulty passing urine).

An Overview of Toviaz Interactions

Toviaz (fesoterodine fumarate) can potentially interact with a few other medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with Toviaz include:
 
  • Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor medications, including:

 

 

  • Anticholinergic drugs, such as:

 

 

  • Certain antifungals or antibiotics, such as:

 

    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Fluconazole (Diflucan®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Posaconazole (Noxafil®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
    • Voriconazole (VFEND®)
