Studies have shown that this drug can help relieve many of the symptoms of an
overactive bladder. In clinical studies, people who took it significantly reduced the frequency of bladder accidents. Also, people who took the drug needed to urinate less frequently and were able to pass more urine each time they used the bathroom (the frequent muscle
contractions of an overactive bladder usually prevent the bladder from holding a normal amount of urine). For most people,
Sanctura XR started to work within the first week of use.
Some general considerations for when and how to take this product include the following:
- Sanctura XR comes in the form of a capsule. It is taken once a day in the morning.
- It should be taken at least one hour before a meal, because it should be taken on an empty stomach.
- Because Sanctura XR is an extended-release medication, do not open, chew, or break Sanctura XR capsules.
- This product should be taken at the same time each day in order to maintain an even level of the medication in your blood.
- For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.
Sanctura XR Dosing Information
There is only one standard recommended dose for this medicine. As is always the case, do not adjust your dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
