Sanctura XR Dosage

For treating an overactive bladder, there is only one standard Sanctura XR dosage, 60 mg once daily in the morning. The medication comes in the form of a capsule and should not be chewed or broken. Because Sanctura XR should be taken on an empty stomach, you should take your Sanctura XR dosage at least one hour before a meal.

 

Sanctura XR Dosage: An Introduction

There is only one standard dose of Sanctura® XR (trospium XR), regardless of your age and weight. As is always the case, do not adjust your Sanctura XR dose unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.
 

Sanctura XR Dosage for an Overactive Bladder

The recommended dose of Sanctura XR for treating an overactive bladder is Sanctura XR 60 mg once daily in the morning.
 

General Information on Dosing With Sanctura XR

Some considerations for people taking Sanctura XR include the following:
 
  • Sanctura XR comes in the form of a capsule. It is taken once a day in the morning.
     
  • Sanctura XR should be taken at least one hour before a meal, because it should be taken on an empty stomach.
     
  • Because Sanctura XR is an extended-release medication, do not open, chew, or break Sanctura XR capsules.
     
  • Sanctura XR should be taken at the same time each day in order to maintain an even level of the medication in your blood.
     
  • For the medication to work properly, it must be taken as prescribed.
