Enablex Drug Interactions

When certain medicines are taken with Enablex, drug interactions may occur that could increase your risk of side effects or reduce the effectiveness of the medicines. These medications can include protease inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, anticholinergic drugs, and certain antibiotics or antifungals. To help prevent Enablex drug interactions, tell your healthcare provider about all other medications you are currently taking, including non-prescription ones.

 

Enablex Drug Interactions: An Overview

Enablex® (darifenacin) can potentially interact with a few other medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to Enablex drug interactions include:
 
  • Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor medications, such as:
 
 
  • Anticholinergic drugs, such as:
 
 
  • Certain antifungals or antibiotics, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
