Ditropan XL Drug Interactions

When anticholinergic medications or acetylcholinesterase inhibitors are taken together with Ditropan XL, drug interactions may occur. These negative interactions can increase your risk for developing side effects or reduce the effectiveness of the medicines. Other medications that may lead to Ditropan XL interactions include pramlintide, protease inhibitors, and certain antibiotics or antifungals.

 

An Overview of Ditropan XL Drug Interactions

Ditropan XL® (oxybutynin ER) can potentially interact with a few other medicines. Some of these medicines that may lead to Ditropan XL interactions include:
 
  • Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor drugs, such as:

 

 

  • Anticholinergic medications, including:

 

 

  • Certain antifungal or antibiotic medications, including:

 

    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
