Detrol and Breastfeeding
At this time, it is unclear if Detrol and breastfeeding is a safe combination, because researchers don't know if the medication passes through breast milk in humans. When Detrol passed through breast milk in mice, it slowed weight gain in baby mice. If you're taking Detrol and breastfeeding (or thinking of breastfeeding), talk to your healthcare provider about the possible risks.
It is unknown if Detrol® (tolterodine tartrate) passes through breast milk in women. The manufacturer recommends that women avoid breastfeeding while taking the drug.
Detrol is known to pass through breast milk in mice and caused slow weight gain in some of the baby mice.
